Interested in sustainable energy and the science behind it?
Join the RSC Mid鈥慡outhern Counties Local Section for an exclusive visit to the Ardley Energy Recovery Facility on Thursday 28th September, 13:00-15:30.
Since opening in 2014, Ardley ERF鈥攍ocated near Bicester, Oxfordshire鈥攈as played a major role in diverting non鈥憆ecyclable waste from landfill and transforming it into usable energy.
The event begins with an introduction to the facility鈥檚 advanced waste鈥憈o鈥慹nergy technology and its commitment to environmental sustainability. You鈥檒l discover how the site already generates enough electricity to power nearly 60,000 homes and plans to become carbon neutral.
After the briefing, we鈥檒l lace up our steel toe-cap boots (you can borrow a pair on site if you haven鈥檛 brought your own) and head out on a guided tour of the power station to see the chemistry in action.
This event is free to attend, but attendees will need to make their own way to Ardley.
