We are aware of phishing emails targeting speakers of events whose names appear on our events pages. If you are unsure if an email regarding event registration or accommodation has come from us please contact us and do not provide any credit card details or personal information.
The Events Team office will be closed from Thursday 24 December 2025 until Monday 5 January 2026. You can still submit during this period but we will not be available to respond to enquiries or authorise listings until the week of our return.

Introduction
As part of this year's RSC Chemistry week, the Liverpool Local Section are holding an evening event for its members aligned with the week's 'Global science' theme. The evening will comprise of:
An informal talk given by Professor Roy Alexander (University of Chester) on Ashton-Hayes, Cheshire's Carbon Neutral Village Project
An entertaining, pub-style quiz with questions loosely based on some global science topics
A free buffet will be provided. There will also be prizes awarded to the best performing quiz teams. Tickets are available through Eventbrite, spaces are limited so please book early.
